- How many parliaments does Parlacta cover?
- 97 cantonal, city and municipal parliaments, plus the federal parliament. The figure comes from the OpenParlData API and is requested when this page opens; the federal level is held separately there and is not included in it.
- How many political proposals are on record?
- 322'483 parliamentary proposals, requested when this page opens.
- How many votes are on record?
- 76'281 votes from the covered parliaments, requested when this page opens.
- Which levels of government does Parlacta cover?
- All three: federal, cantonal and municipal. Which parliaments are covered in detail follows from the data source.
- Where does the data come from?
- The parliamentary proposals come from OpenParlData, an open source of Swiss parliamentary data. Parlacta collects no data of its own and uses only publicly accessible data.
- How are proposals assigned to a policy field?
- Automatically, along the Comparative Agendas Project, a category system established in political science. Classification runs on the published CAP models from poltextlab, based on XLM-RoBERTa. Parlacta develops no models of its own.
- Which languages is Parlacta available in?
- The interface is available in German, French, Italian and English. Search covers the German, French and Italian full texts of the proposals.
- How current is the data?
- The sync with the data source is designed to run daily; proposals taken in are classified automatically. The figures on this page come straight from the source and say nothing about the state of that sync.
- Where is Parlacta operated?
- Website, database and audience measurement run on our own servers at Infomaniak in Switzerland.
- What does Parlacta cost?
- Base data and search stay free permanently. Monitoring and AI features are priced by type of organisation; every figure is stated on the pricing page. There is no billing yet, the prices are published for planning.
The three figures are requested from the OpenParlData API on every visit and may therefore differ from values quoted elsewhere. Anyone citing this page should state the date of access.
